Softonic review

A free app for Android, by AIRBITS Reactive Phone.

When you’re driving at night or in fog, you need to be careful not to lose your way. In these situations, it is convenient to have a quick and reliable way to find your way. And this is exactly what the HUD Speed Lite app is for.

This platform combines the functionalities of a digital speedometer and a radar detector. It utilizes the HeadUp Display (HUD) feature, allowing users to use their phone or tablet as a projection display. By placing the device under the windshield, users can view speed and receive camera warnings directly on the glass, eliminating the need to divert their attention from the road. The application covers the regions of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan with its camera base. The accuracy of the digital speedometer, determined by GPS, surpasses that of the car's built-in speedometer.

The application serves as a radar detector, alerting users to stationary cameras and traffic police radars along their route. The data is displayed as a projection on the windshield. When approaching a camera, the application emits warning sounds if the vehicle's speed exceeds the allowed limit by more than 19 km/h. This feature is crucial since fines for exceeding the speed limit by more than 20 km/h start at 500 rubles.

To enhance visibility, the application offers a normal display mode for situations when the device's brightness may not be sufficient to project the information onto the glass, particularly in sunny weather. In such cases, users can place the device in a holder and view the information directly on the screen. However, the projection is consistently visible during nighttime, evening, and cloudy weather conditions.
